The former Black Stars captain and assistant Ghana coach in the last two years is handling the team for the game after Milovan Rajevac quit in September. Appiah has been touted as a potential replacement for the Serbian in the long term but has been keen to play down suggestions Sunday’s game will be his opportunity to bid for the job. “For me it is simply about the one game,” he told KickOffGhana.com. “I am keen for the team to continue from where we were in the last qualifier against Sudan and nothing more than that. “I just don’t understand why people keep asking me about pressure. I have been with this same group for two years, been with them in training several times and know the workings of the group. There is nothing like pressure in this.” Appiah will be at home at the Baba Yara Stadium after spending a chunk of his playing career with Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
