Kwesi Appiah, former Black Stars coach, has shared his preparation plan for the 2026 World Cup, if he were to be in charge of any qualified team.
“The first thing I look at with 100 days to the World Cup is whether to strengthen my technical team or continue with the same setup for the tournament,” Appiah told Akoma 87.9 FM.
Appiah emphasized the importance of studying opponents, saying, “I watch at least five of their games, including pre-World Cup friendlies, to understand their style of play and identify their key players. All of this helps me draw up a plan for my players in every area of the pitch.”
Appiah is currently coaching Sudan and has led them to success, including their first AFCON victory against Equatorial Guinea.
His experience and tactical expertise have caught the attention of Ghana’s football community, with some calling for his inclusion in the Black Stars’ technical team.
