Saudi Arabian second-division club Al Qalah FC has announced the signing of Ghanaian striker Maxwell Abbey Quaye.
The 25-year-old forward joins on a two-year deal following his departure from fellow Saudi side Al Tehami.
Abbey Quaye is expected to play a key role in Al Qalah’s push for promotion to the Saudi First Division.
“The management of Al-Qalaa Club, headed by Mr. Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Qaid, has completed the signing of Ghanaian striker Maxwell Quaye for two seasons,” the club confirmed in a statement.
“This step represents the club’s preparations for the Second Division League competitions to achieve the set goals and aspirations of our club’s fans. We wish him success with the Violet Castle.”
Quaye began his professional career with Accra Great Olympics in Ghana before moving to Iraq, where he featured for Duhok and Al Sinaa.
He later joined Saudi outfit Al Tehami before sealing this latest move to Al Qalah.
