Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah has finalized a high-profile transfer to Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars SC from Al Nasr Benghazi for a reported transfer fee of USD 220,000.
The 24-year-old forward joins Singida Black Stars SC with a rich football background.
Sowah’s career took off during Medeama SC’s 2022-2023 Ghana Premier League-winning campaign, where he scored 12 goals and contributed an assist in 20 league matches.
Sowah’s exceptional performances earned him a call-up to the Ghana Black Stars for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations under coach Chris Hughton. He also showcased his talent in the CAF Champions League during his time at Al Nasr Benghazi.
The hardworking attcker’s departure from Al Nasr Benghazi comes despite being under contract until December 31, 2025.
He initially joined the Libyan outfit in January 2024 from Medeama SC for a reported USD 200,000.
He will link up with compatriots Emmanuel Keyekeh and Ibrahim Imoro, aiming to make an impact in Tanzanian football while enhancing his growing reputation.
