Ghanaian striker Issah Abass has been named in Portuguese Primeira Liga team of the week after his five star performance in FC Chaves’ 1-1 against Santa Clara.
Abass came in as substitute replacing Bernardo Sousa on the 66th minute mark and opened the scoring after seven minutes.
Clara responded quickly three minutes later to make it 1-1 thanks to Bruno Jordao’s goal.
Chaves secured a point from the match, which places them in 10th position in the league, while Santa Clara remains at the bottom.
Issah has four goals in 21 appearances this term.
