Afro-dancehall star Stonebwoy has thrown his weight behind the Black Queens ahead of their WAFCON quarter-final against Algeria.
The Ghanaian musician, speaking on Asempa FM, praised the team’s performances and singled out new forward Chantelle Boye for special mention. “I enjoy women’s football more than the men’s,” he said. “I’ve been making videos to support them. They should go out there and make us proud.”
The Queens, aiming for their first semi-final appearance since 2016, face Algeria this Saturday, July 19, in Berkane.
