Doris Boaduwaa, Ghana’s star forward, expressed her delight after scoring a hat-trick in the Black Queens’ 3-1 friendly win over Malawi in a pre Women’s Africa Cup of Nations friendly against Morocco.
Boaduwaa’s goals turned the game around after Malawi took an early lead through Tendai Sani.
She scored from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute, followed by another goal on the hour mark, and sealed the win with a third goal in the 81st minute.
After the match, Boaduwaa posted on social media, “A win, a hat-trick. Still have more for Ghana.”
The Black Queens are preparing for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which starts on July 5, 2025, in Morocco.
Ghana is in Group C and will face South Africa on July 7, Mali on July 11, and Tanzania on July 14.
