Bechem United have appointed Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway as their new head coach on a two-year contract.
Botchway, who previously led Kotoku Royals, steps in to replace Kwaku Danso, who has now been reassigned as Technical Advisor.
Danso had been at the helm of the Hunters for multiple seasons, guiding the club through a period of relative stability, and will now lend his experience to the technical setup in a more strategic role.
The coaching change comes as Bechem United look to improve on their 10th-place finish from last season.
The club has already bolstered its squad with several new signings, including a 24-year-old former WAFA forward, Aminu Mohammed, who once trained with English giants Manchester City’s youth setup.
He joins the club as a free agent and is expected to bring added firepower to the attack.
Botchway’s appointment marks the beginning of a new era at Bechem, with expectations high for a stronger showing in the 2025/26 league season.
