St. Gallen defender Stephan Ambrosius has earned a place in Ghana’s 23-man squad for the upcoming 2025 Unity Cup in London.
The 26-year-old returns to the national team setup after a consistent campaign in the Swiss Super League, where he made 22 appearances for St. Gallen.
Ambrosius, who made his debut for the Black Stars in September 2023 during an international friendly against Liberia, has so far featured twice for Ghana.
His last outing came in a friendly defeat to Mexico in October 2023.
His inclusion by head coach Otto Addo is part of a mix of experience and emerging talent, as Ghana prepares to face Nigeria in their opening game on Wednesday.
Ambrosius will be hoping to stake a stronger claim for a regular role in the team as the Black Stars use the Unity Cup as part of their broader preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
