The bi-weekly suggests the players are so upset with unpaid allowances from the 2010 World Cup and are prepared to make their point by refusing to play in that game scheduled for the Baba Yara Stadium. While in the past players received match bonuses immediately after games, they have had to wait for considerably longer these days. And the newspapers suggest it is causing some unrest. The players have not been paid their 10,000 dollars per head allowance for their away win in Swaziland in their opening 2012 Nations Cup qualifier. The players who were at the World Cup and played in that qualifier are owed $65,000 per player. The Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association met over the issue on Tuesday to sort it out once and for all.
