The West Africans will face the DR Congo at the Felix Houphoeut Bouney Stadium in the maiden tournament meant exclusively for home-based players.
Ghana had played its entire group and semi final matches in the city of Bouake where it enjoyed massive support from the natives.
But players of the national team were positively surprised on Thursday evening when fans in the commercial capital lined-up the streets to wave the team as the team arrived in the commercial capital.
The same thing was replicated on Friday as the team travelled to the stadium to train for the first time at Sunday’s match venue.
Many fans used the victory sign to indicate a 2-0 win for the Black Stars but the players are refusing to get carried even though they beat the Simbas 3-0 in their Group A clash last week.
“We know the Congolese have revenge on their minds so we are not relaxing at all,” midfielder Rahim Ayew told KickOffGhana.com.
“The Ivorian fans have been fantastic with us from Bouake to Yamossoukro and it is showing here in Abidjan.
“Our aim is to win the title and thank the Ivorians for their massive support before heading home.”
Ghana beat Senegal 7-6 on penalties on Wednesday to qualify for the final.
