Mohammed Kudus put up a Man of the match display as West Ham United knocked Arsenal out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

The Ghanaian international was on target in their 3-1 win over the Gunners at the London Stadium.

The home team took the lead rather fortuitously after Ben White headed the ball into his own net in the 16th minute.

Kudus made it 2-0 five minutes after the break. The 24 year old showed excellent technique by controlling a cross before firing a precise low shot that went into the bottom left corner.

Jarrod Bowen extended the lead at the hour mark with a shot from the edge of the box that deflected past the helpless Aaron Ramsdale.

Martin Odegaard scored a consolation goal for Arsenal in stoppage time. But it was too late as West Ham held on to reach the League Cup quarter-final.
