Bibiani GoldStars and Asante Kotoko cancelled each other out in a tense 0-0 draw on Matchday 32 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Despite both teams showing flashes of intent, the game lacked clinical finishing in front of goal.
GoldStars started brightly, creating an early threat just five minutes in, but Asante Kotoko’s Henry Ansu was alert to guide the ball out safely for a goal kick.
Kotoko’s best opportunity came in the 68th minute when Peter Amidu weaved through the GoldStars defence and unleashed a powerful strike, only to watch it miss the target by a whisker.
With the clock winding down, the hosts almost snatched a winner in the 83rd minute.
However, a stunning save from Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara denied Bibiani a late lead.
The result means GoldStars hold firm in second place with 57 points, while Kotoko trail just behind in third with 55. Nations FC maintain their position at the top with 60 points heading into the penultimate round.
GoldStars now shift focus to their upcoming clash with Berekum Chelsea, as Kotoko prepare for a home showdown against Medeama SC.
