Ghana’s Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has urged Asante Kotoko to remain resolute and confident ahead of their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
The Porcupine Warriors will represent Ghana in the continental competition after winning the FA Cup last season.
Kofi Adams, who was present at the Accra Sports Stadium when Kotoko edged rivals Hearts of Oak 2-1 to lift the 2025 President’s Cup, offered words of motivation to the team.
“You were so solid against Hearts of Oak. When we go to Africa with this kind of spirit, we will conquer every team. I just want to encourage and motivate you that you can make it, don’t be afraid,” he told the players.
Their Confederation Cup journey kicks off in September, with the first-round matches scheduled for the weekend of 19th to 21st.
Official fixtures are expected to be announced in the coming weeks as clubs begin preparations.
However, Kotoko will next head to South Africa to face Kaizer Chiefs in the Toyota Cup slated for July 28.
