Spezia will welcome Inter Milan to the Stadio Alberto Picco this Friday night as the two sides kick off another round of Serie A action with Inter set to have one eye on the Champions League clash with Porto next week.

Inter are leading 1-0 against Porto ahead of their trip to Portugal, and with that game just four days away, there is a chance that Simeone Inzaghi rests a few players for this away trip. This could see Edin Dzeko start instead of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

The Milan giants did return to the win column last time out when they defeated Lecce 2-0. This saw Martinez get another goal, just as Henrikh Mkhitaryan continued his excellent form this season with a finish in the first half of the game.

Prior to this, however, Inter did lose to Bologna not long after their win over Porto in Europe.

As for Spezia, they continue to fight just above the relegation zone and they missed their best chance yet this season to create an almighty gap on the bottom three last weekend.

The club met with Hellas Verona who sit directly below in the relegation spots, and both their seasons were summed up with a lacklustre display that witnessed seven shots on target throughout the game and a 0-0 draw.

Federico Marchetti came off the bench that day for Spezia and soon got sent off, and he will now miss this game. It was also the second red card within four games for the club.

Spezia also drew 2-2 with Udinese just prior to their recent draw and by also drawing 2-2 with Empoli not long ago, they have now not won a game since beating Torino in Turin midway through January.

Losses to Roma, Bologna, Napoli and Juventus have all since come in.

Spezia have now only won four games all season long and drawn nine times with 12 losses too. It has seen them net the lowest goals for those outside of the drop zone with just 21 on the board and 41 goals let in from 25 games.

Based on the league table, there should only be one winner in this game. Inter have managed to put themselves back into second in recent times and although they have eyes on the Champions League rather than a league title this campaign, they should ease past these sorts of teams.

Forebet predicts a win for Inter and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
