Ghanaian and Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey is a SHOCK transfer target for Spanish giants Valencia before the transfer window shuts on Monday.
According reports in the Spanish media Valencia sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch has been in Madrid to meet with agents, representatives and intermediaries.
According to the report in the Super Deporte, the Valencia was holed up in a hotel in the capital yesterday before attending the Atletico Madrid-Celta Vigo Copa del Rey tie on Wednesday.
Partey as been part of Pitarch’s reason for being in the capital, though the midfielder didn’t play as Atletico lost to Celta in the quarter-finals.
Pitarch has been trying to establish if a loan deal for Partey is possible but Diego Simeone is said to want to keep the Ghanaian.
