Southampton have made a last minute attempt in their bid to sign Kamaldeen Sulema in the January transfer window.
The Saints have submitted a €20M bid to Stade Rennais in the last few hours, according to a report from L’Euipe.
The English side initially proposed a €17m offer earlier in the window but have increased their offer in a bid to get the move over the line on deadline day,
Talks are underway between both clubs, with the French side considering an imminent sale.
The 20 year old has seen his minutes reduce drastically this season after slipping down the pecking.
The Ghanaian International has one goal in 13 appearances this season.
