Southampton are closing in on the signing of 20-year-old centre-back Joshua Quarshie from Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim this summer.
The German-born defender, who spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan at 2. Bundesliga side SpVgg Greuther Fürth, is expected to join the Saints permanently.
According to Sky Germany, Quarshie has already undergone a medical at Southampton’s St. Mary’s Stadium, with a transfer fee reported to be in the region of €3 to €3.5 million.
Quarshie made 25 appearances for Greuther Fürth across all competitions during his loan spell, impressing with his defensive capabilities.
Though he has represented Germany at U18, U19, and U20 levels, Quarshie remains eligible to play internationally for Ghana due to his Ghanaian heritage.
