Fresh off their 1-0 victory over the Central African Republic, Ghana’s U20 side will now turn their attention to the quarter-finals of the TotalEnergies CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations, Egypt 2025, where they are set to face either South Africa or Zambia.

The Black Satellites finished top of Group C with seven points after a composed display in their final group match, capped by a late winner from Joseph Opoku. With their ticket to the last eight secured, all eyes now shift to Group A, where South Africa and Zambia are in contention for a place in the knockout stage.

The final round of Group A matches, set to be played later today, will determine which of the two sides finishes second and sets up a clash with Ghana in the quarter-finals. Both teams have shown flashes of quality in the tournament so far, promising a potentially thrilling encounter regardless of who emerges.

With momentum on their side and standout performances—most notably from Man of the Match Abdul Aziz Issah—Ghana approach the quarter-finals with growing confidence and belief.

The Black Satellites will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten run and take one step closer to lifting their fifth U20 AFCON title.
