Andrea Sottil gave his thoughts on his Udinese sides wonderful rout of Jose Mourinhos Roma:
A fantastic game throughout. A wonderful performance by the lads this evening its all down to them.
In terms of levels of cohesion and taking the game to the opponent, we matched our second half against Salernitana. We faced a big test this evening and we showed great personality and courage. Not every team puts four past Roma.
As for when Jaka Bijol was forced off, I cant tell you what words I used when he was substituted. I then put on Enzo Ebosse in order to provide us with thrust on the flanks. Id like to thank the team and Enzo hes a top lad who works so hard.
The lads showed that they were in good shape. I opted for Tolgay Arsland and Lazar Samardzic because theyre great on the ball and they would help unlock Roma. The opposition sat deep as if they were expecting to deal with Beto, so it favoured long range efforts. I was aware that it was a risk having Roberto Pereyra mark Leonardo Spinazzola, but hes got so much energy. He put in a wonderful performance.
Well enjoy this victory but well work as normal ahead of Sassuolo. As for our fans, their support gives us a great boost. Id appreciated it as a player and now Im experiencing it as a coach.
Im really happy but Im not bigging myself up for these wins weve just got to keep working hard. It gives us a confidence boost we need to carry forward.
While weve picked up ten points from five games Ive got no set goals. Were just trying to foster a good mentality here, first and foremost.
