The Kotoko player was taken off in the first half of the 3-0 defeat of DR Congo with an ankle injury after being savagely tackled from behind.
He was taken directly to the hospital following the injury, which ignited fears that he could miss the rest of the tournament.
But Ghana team doctor Percy Annan says there is a faint hope that the youngster can play before the tournament ends.
“The x-rays have shown that there is no fracture, which is good news,” Annan told KickOffGhana.com.
“But there is cartilage where the injury is, so I will observe it later on Monday to be sure if he can recover in time for the tournament.
“It is not as bad as we feared.”
Ghana finished top of Group B with five points and will play Senegal in the semifinals in Bouake on Wednesday.
