Ghana will be without six key players for their upcoming international friendlies against Japan and South Korea due to injuries and fitness concerns.
Jordan Ayew, Alexander Djiku, Thomas Partey, Fatawu Issahaku, and Joseph Paintsil have all been ruled out, joining Mohammed Kudus, who remains sidelined with an injury that kept him out of West Ham’s last two games.
The exact reasons for the other absences have not been disclosed, though all are said to be recovering from minor knocks.
Head coach Otto Addo is expected to call up replacements as he uses the two fixtures to test new options and fine-tune his squad ahead of Ghana’s fifth FIFA World Cup appearance in 2026.
The Black Stars will take on Japan on November 14, before facing South Korea four days later, as both games form part of the team’s pre-World Cup preparations.
Meanwhile, the World Cup draw is scheduled for December 5 in Washington, where Ghana will learn their group-stage opponents for the tournament.
