Siena FC have signed Ghanaian-Italian defensive midfielder Moses Odjer from Livorno on a free transfer, with the 30-year-old agreeing a contract until 30 June 2028.
Odjer completed his move to the Serie D – E club on 27 August 2026 after spending last season with Livorno. He joined Livorno from Ascoli without a transfer fee in September 2025, and now brings extensive experience of Italy’s professional divisions to Siena as they begin their 2026-27 campaign.
The midfielder has played 125 matches in Serie B, scoring once and providing six assists. He has also made 99 appearances in Serie C – C and 58 in Serie C – B, scoring three goals and registering one assist in the latter competition.
Born in Tema, Ghana, Odjer began his Italian career in the youth system at Catania after leaving Ghanaian club Tema Youth in 2014. He progressed to the Catania first team before joining Salernitana for the 2015-16 season.
His move to Salernitana initially came on loan, before the club completed a permanent transfer for €900,000. Odjer subsequently represented Trapani, Palermo, Foggia, Pianese, Ascoli and Livorno during a career spent largely in the Italian league system.
He spent two seasons with Foggia before moving to Pianese. His switch to Ascoli in February 2025 followed a short spell at Pianese, while his move to Livorno came later that year after leaving Ascoli.
Odjer has also played in the Premier League, making 13 appearances and scoring once. He has eight Italy Cup appearances, while his recorded Serie B career totals 6,845 minutes.
His record in Serie C adds further depth to a career that has taken him through several levels of Italian football. Listed at 1.70m, Odjer is capable of operating with either foot and is expected to offer Siena experience and flexibility in midfield.
The transfer was completed without a fee, despite Odjer having a previous market value of €100,000. Siena have secured his services on a deal that runs through June 2028.
Odjer began his senior career in Italy after arriving from Tema Youth and has since built a substantial record across the country’s professional divisions. His arrival at Siena gives the club a player with experience of Serie B, Serie C, the Premier League and the Italy Cup as they prepare for life in Serie D – E.
