Sheriff Tiraspol defender Patrick Kpozo open to Premier League move in future

Sheriff Tiraspol defender Patrick Kpozo believes he has what it takes to succeed in the English Premier League in future because he is fast and good at defending.

The 25-year-old has been one of the consistent performers for Sheriff Tiraspol so far this season.

Kpozo, who was close to joining La Liga’s Granada in 2016 has made 18 appearances for Sheriff across all competitions this season.

“Of course, I believe I can still make it to the Premier League,” Kpozo told BBC Sport Africa.

“I have the qualities – I am strong, fast, good at defending. I have no doubt I could play in England.

“Playing in the Europa League is a good stage for players to showcase their talent to the world and that’s what I’m doing now – trying to show that I can play at the top level. That’s my target.”

Following his impressive display for Sheriff Tiraspol, Kpozo could make a strong case to be included in Ghana’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which commences next month.
