On Monday afternoon, Shanghai Shenhua and Wuhan clash at the Hongkou Stadium in the Chinese Super League.

Shanghai Shenhua

The home team have made an encouraging start to the new Chinese Super League, picking up ten points from their opening four league matches. Wu Jingui’s team are unbeaten this season, and eight games undefeated since last season.

That run includes winning four of their last five matches in the Chinese Super League. Shanghai’s recent good form has been based on solid defensive displays, as they have kept clean sheets in four of their last six league matches.

They are also unbeaten in seven Chinese Super League home games, recording five victories. Shanghai Shenhua have also been relatively prolific on home soil, having scored at least two goals in four of their previous six home games in the Chinese Super League.

Wuhan

The visitors have enjoyed a decent start to the new Chinese Super League campaign, winning three of their opening four matches in the league.

However, Wuhan suffered a 3-1 home defeat against local rivals Wuhan Three Towns last time out, a defeat which ended a three-game winning run in the Chinese Super League.

Their most recent league games have been relatively low-scoring of late, with under 2.5 goals scored in seven of their previous ten matches.

Wuhan has won their last two away games in the Chinese Super League, over Shanghai Port and Guangzhou FC, both by a scoreline of 1-0. However, their recent away record dating back a bit further is not great, as they have won just three of their previous 13 away games in the Chinese Super League.

What does Forebet predict?

Both teams are showing solid results from the start of the new campaign, so expect a tough match with draw being the most probable outcome.
