We have eight fixtures to look forward to in the Europa League knockout round playoffs this week, including the meeting between Sevilla and PSV Eindhoven.

The match will be played on the 16th of February at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán and the hosts are currently in 12th place in La Liga while the visitors are 4th in the Eredivisie.

Sevilla recorded a 2-0 home win over RCD Mallorca on the weekend in La Liga, with the goals coming in the 28th and 40th minute.

However, Sevilla remain in the bottom half of the table in what has been a disappointing season to date. They are currently only 4 points off the relegation zone and without winning the Europa League, there will be no European football for Sevilla next season.

Sevilla have won 4 of their last 6 matches in all competitions. The wins have come over Cadiz, Elche, and RCD Mallorca at home in La Liga and there was a 1-0 win at Deportivo Alaves in the Copa del Rey.

There have been 2 defeats in those 6 games, with the losses coming at Osasuna in the Copa del Rey and Barcelona in La Liga.

Sevilla started the season in the Champions League, winning only 1 of their 6 fixtures. In the Europa League, Sevilla have won 6 of their last 8 matches.

They have lost only 2 of their 10 most recent Europa League games and have won 5 of their last 6 home matches in the competition.

PSV Eindhoven travel to the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on the back of a 6-0 home win over Groningen in the Eredivisie on the weekend.

PSV Eindhoven opened the scoring in the 27th minute but had to wait until the second half for the floodgates to open. PSV Eindhoven scored their second goal in the opening minute of the second half and took apart their opponents.

That result means PSV Eindhoven are undefeated in their last 4 matches in all competitions. They have beat Go Ahead Eagles and Groningen at home in the Eredivisie plus Emmen at home in the KNVB Beker.

PSV Eindhoven also picked up a good point thanks to a 2-2 draw at Feyenoord, who are currently top of the Eredivisie.

PSV Eindhoven were eliminated from the Champions League at the playoff stage and entered the group stage of the Europa League this season.

They have won 4 of their last 5 Europa League games.

Looking ahead to the team news and Sevilla are without injured midfielder Alejandro Dario Gomez. They also have doubts over the fitness of Karim Rekik, Alex Telles, Teixeira Marcão, and Jesus Manuel Corona.

PSV Eindhoven are without the injured trio of Fodé Fofana, Anwar El-Ghazi, Phillipp Mwene plus have doubts over the availability of Sávio.

Sevilla are the most successful team in the history of the Europa League but they have been struggling for much of this season. PSV Eindhoven are in good form coming into this match but if Sevilla can perform, they should get the win and keep a clean sheet in the process.
