Lazio 3-1 Inter was arguably the standout result of the round, with the Eagles dispatching the Nerazzurri in the capital. In Turin, Juventus and Roma played out a 1-1 draw.
The biggest shock of Matchday 3 came in Campania, where Salernitana thrashed Sampdoria 4-0. Having narrowly avoided relegation last season, Salernitana have made a promising start to the new campaign.

The draw was the most common result on Matchday 3, with 40% of the games ending all square. There were also three home wins and three away wins, as Udinese, Torino and Atalanta triumphed on their travels.

Meanwhile, Lazio’s Pedro and Milan’s Rafael Leao both registered a goal and an assist. Elsewhere, Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin kept a second clean sheet in as many matches.
