The Black Queens of Ghana suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to the Teranga Lionesses of Senegal in their second international friendly on Tuesday at the Stade Lat-Dior.
The result comes just days after Ghana secured a 1-0 win in the first encounter, thanks to a header from Evelyn Badu.
Both sides created several chances in an open and competitive first half, but neither could find the breakthrough as the goalkeepers stood firm.
Ghana looked more dominant in the second half, with Chantelle Boye coming close to scoring—her powerful long-range effort narrowly missing the post.
Senegal also pushed forward, and while one of their efforts was cleared off the line by Ernestina Abambila, they eventually found the winner in the dying moments of the game.
Hapsatou Diallo rose highest to head home a late goal, sealing victory for the Teranga Lionesses and avenging their earlier loss.
The friendly is part of preparations ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for July.
Ghana has been paired with South Africa, Tanzania and Mali in Group C.
