Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Dr Prosper Nartey Ogum has attributed his side’s comfortable win over Aduana FC to self-belief and determination
The Porcupine Warriors who had struggled in their last five matches, bounced back strongly to defeat Aduana Stars 2-0 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Il Stadium in the week 12 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
“It’s about self-confidence, it’s about determination,” he said.
“Playing in Dormaa has nothing to do with tactics, it has something to do with the confidence of the team, the determination of the team, the aggression of the team, and I think the calmness of the team.
“If you look at the way we played, we were very calm because I know the venue to be an aggressive venue, and if you come aggressively, it wouldn’t help.”
The victory moves Kotoko to seventh place on the league table with 18 points after 12 matches.
They will host Hearts of Oak in a highly anticipated Super Clash at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
Meanwhile, Aduana FC, now 14th with 12 points, will aim to bounce back when they face Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park in their next fixture.
