Schalke 04 have been promoted back to the Bundesliga for the 2022/23 season.
The hosts recorded a 3-2 win over FC St. Pauli on Saturday night, ensuring the club’s place in the Bundesliga this coming season.
After SV Darmstadt 98’s slip-up on Friday night, FC Schalke 04 had the chance to secure automatic promotion at home, and they did it in style, coming down from two goals down.

S04’s goals at a sold-out VELTINS-Arena were scored by Simon Terodde (47’ and 71’) and Rodrigo Zalazar (78’).
Schalke will end 2021/22 with a trip to FC Nürnberg on Sunday, 15 May as the curtains come down on the season.
