SC Freiburg has dropped playmaker Daniel-Kofi Kyereh to protect him the club has revealed. This means Daniel-Kofi Kyereh’s anticipated debut for his new club will delay.
After successful negotiations between his representatives and club officials, the talented attacker completed his transfer to the German Bundesliga 2 side at the beginning of the month.
Kyereh was absent for SC Freiburg’s first preseason match against lower-tier German side SV Elversberg on Saturday. He also did not participate in the club’s second friendly game against Swiss club St. Gallen.
Kyereh was born in Ghana to a German mother and Ghanaian father, and moved to Germany at the age of 1.
He debuted for the Ghana national team in a 1-0 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification win over Ethiopia on 3 September 2021
