Roma will visit Sassuolo at the MAPEI Stadium on Wednesday, as they look to rebound after losing the Derby della Capitale 1-0 to Lazio on Sunday.

The Giallorossi lost two of their last three games in Serie A and now find themselves 10 points off first-place Napoli. Roma are sixth in the table, with four points separating them from fourth-place Atalanta.

Sassuolo are 13th after 13 games this season. The Neroverdi are on a two-game losing streak and fell to defeat in four of their last five league games. Sassuolo are not playing well with Roma on their way to the MAPEI Stadium.

Roma are unbeaten in five of their last six games versus Sassuolo. However, they could only post a record of 2W-3D-1L against the Neroverdi in those six fixtures.

The Giallorossi are unbeaten in their last four games versus Sassuolo. Roma have a strong historical record against Sassuolo. The Giallorossi went undefeated in 17 of their last 18 matches against Sassuolo in all competitions. Confidence should be high on Jose Mourinho’s part that Roma can win once more.

Roma took 12 points from the last six games in Serie A. They posted a +3-goal difference during that run of fixtures.

Sassuolo only took six points from the last six games in the league. The Neroverdi posted a –1-goal difference, as they struggled to outscore opponents.

The home team could be without star player Domenico Berardi. He is a doubt to play due to a muscle injury. Berardi has played just five games in Serie A this season.

Berardi missed eight of Sassuolo’s last nine games. His absence is a key reason for Sassuolo’s poor form.

Forward Gregoire Defrel is a doubt to play due to a foot injury. Defender Mert Muldur has an ankle problem and is likely to sit out the fixture.

Mourinho could be without at least five players for the trip to Sassuolo. Midfielders Lorenzo Pellegrini and Leonardo Spinazzola are both major doubts to make the squad. Forward Paulo Dybala has a muscle strain and is a doubt to play.

Meanwhile, midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum’s post-Liverpool career continues to go nowhere. Wijnaldum is out until January due to a broken leg. He will miss the World Cup. Midfielder Ebrima Darboe is also out of action.

Roma have a strong unbeaten record versus Sassuolo. The Giallorossi should get back to winning ways away to the Neroverdi. Roma should just edge Sassuolo 2-1. Roma are on a four-game away winning streak, and they should turn it into five at the MAPEI Stadium.
