Samuel Uwikunda from Rwanda to officiate Ghana vs Angola AFCON qualifier

Samuel Uwikunda from Rwanda has been appointed as referee for the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana and Angola.

The 37-year old is not new in officiating African football competitions, having previously handled crucial matches in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, the CAF Confederation Cup, the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) and the Africa Cup of Nations.

He will be assisted by compatriots Dieudonne Mutuyimana (Assistant Referee I),  Eric Mugabo (Assistant Referee II),and Ruzindana Nsoro (Fourth Official).

Sanusi Mohammed from Nigeria will serve as the Match Commissioner while, Elsayed Morad Attaalla from Egypt works as Referee Assessor.

The game is scheduled for 16:00Hrs Kick Off at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
