Hearts of Oak have sacked their head coach Samuel Boadu following a poor start to the season.
The 36-year-old was told the news on Tuesday and his backroom staff have all been asked to stay away from training today.
The club released a statement and emphasized on the need for a “new direction and energy to ensure it’s broader objectives are achieved.”
Hearts’ U-20 coach Samuel Nii Noi takes over in the interim and will be assisted by Benjamin Mensah until a new coach is appointed.
Boadu joined the Phobians from Medeama SC halfway through the 2020/2021 season and clinched six trophies for the continental masters – Premier League (twice), MTN FA Cup (twice), Super Cup and President Cup.
