Berekum Chelsea head coach Samuel Boadu has set his sights on winning both the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup this season, as his team prepares to face Asante Kotoko in their opening fixture.
Speaking to Akoma FM, the former Hearts of Oak trainer acknowledged the difficulty of playing Kotoko but stressed that Chelsea are ready for the challenge.
“We know it will be a difficult game. Anytime we host Kotoko here it turns out to be tough, but we are ready for them,” he said.
“My target this season is to win both the GPL title and the FA Cup. However, at the very least, we want to finish within the top six.”
The coach emphasized that the FA Cup, in particular, is a priority since Chelsea have previously won the league but are yet to lift the prestigious knockout trophy.
“I seriously need the FA Cup because Chelsea have won the league before, but the FA Cup is still missing. It’s something I want us to achieve this season.”
