Asante Kotoko defender Samuel Appiah is refusing to press the panic button over his lack of playing opportunities at the club.
The full-back joined the Porcupine Warriors in a high-profile move from Medeama at the start of the season.
But the hugely talented right-back has been restricted largely to the presence of teenager Augustine Agyapong and Christopher Nettey.
However, the defender was handed a starting berth in the side’s 2-1 defeat at Real Tamale United on Sunday.
And Appiah is adamant about his lack of playing time insisting his time will come.
“It’s a big moment for me. I’m happy for that and I waited a lot for it. It’s a dream for me to play again in the League and start the game,” he told kickgh.com
“I’m so happy here. Everyone has helped me, my team-mates, the staff and I’m so proud for the team and so happy to be here.
“It’s a short career as it is, you want to play as much as you can, I’ll be working hard in training and when I do get my chance I need to try and take them in games.
“If I keep doing that then hopefully the manager gives me the nod and maybe gives me more of a starting spot.”
