Football administrator Samuel Anim Addo has denied claims that former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari was arrested in Dubai.

In a statement on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, Anim Addo confirmed that Muntari is “safe and currently residing in Dubai, where he is focused on his personal affairs and business activities.”

Describing the reports as false, Anim Addo urged media outlets responsible for spreading the misinformation to retract their stories and issue an apology. He warned that failure to do so “would result in legal action by Muntari’s lawyers.”

The clarification follows earlier social media posts alleging that the 2010 UEFA Champions League winner had been detained in Dubai. Fans have expressed relief online after Anim Addo’s swift response confirmed Muntari’s well-being.
