Sammy Kuffour urges Ghanaians to stop ‘blame game’ after World Cup exit

Black Stars management committee member, Sammy Kuffuor has called on Ghanaians to stop the blame game following the country’s group stage exit at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana bowed out of the competition after a 2-0 loss to Uruguay at the Al-Janoub Stadium on Friday.

Speaking in a press conference organised by the FA after the defeat, the former Ghana international said the focus should be on finding solution instead of pointing accusatory fingers.

“I will plead, please we shouldn’t point fingers on each and every player or whoever did something wrong. I will still insist we should find a solution to our problem than to point fingers. It will not help. I will still plead we should just take it easy with these young players” Kuffour said.

The West African country beat South Korea in between defeats by Portugal and Uruguay to finish bottom of Group H.
