Samartex midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh has expressed his delight after his outfit ended their poor away record in the Ghana Premier League.
The Timber Boys defeated Bofoakwa Tano at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex to record their first away win in the Ghanaian top-flight at the end.
Goals from Evans Osei-Wusu and Michael Ephson were enough for the visitors to secure maximum points, ending their winless streak at away.
It was their first away win and also the first time the team had scored a goal at away in the Premier since May 2023.
“It’s a very good feeling. We had played several away games without winning. We had not scored a single away goal. So, we came into this game very determined and focused to get all three points.”
Samartex return to the Nsenkyire Sports Arena to host Heart of Lions for their next game.
