FC Samartex will aim to extend their unbeaten start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season when they welcome Hohoe United to the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday.

The Timber Giants have been rock-solid so far, holding leaders Medeama SC to a 1-1 draw last weekend a result that stretched their unbeaten run to six matches. Though their attack has only produced five goals, their defensive organisation remains among the best in the league, with just three goals conceded.

Hohoe United, meanwhile, are desperate to respond after falling 1-0 to Aduana Stars. Their biggest worry has been an inconsistent attack, especially away from home, where they’ve gone three straight games without scoring.

With Samartex sitting 7th on 10 points and Hohoe United 10th on 8, both sides will be eager to close the gap on the top four. The encounter promises an intriguing balance — Samartex’s defensive discipline against a Hohoe side fighting to rediscover their spark.
