Ghana midfielder Abdul Salis Samed is set to return to his parents club, Lens, following a dissapointing loan spell at Sunderland.
The Ghanaian hardly got a kick with the Black Cats, despite Sunderland playing a ton of games and has been left by the club to return back to Lens.
Throughout his stay at Sunderland, Salis, who was used sporadically, made 11 appearances, a total of three starts, which amounted to 283 minutes.
Sunderland secured promotion back to the Premier League after six year when they beat Sheffield United in the play-off final.
Salis joins Chris Mepham as returnees to their parent clubs, with the latter racking up 40 appearances and playing an influential role in Sunderland’s qualifying campaign.
Salis’ future at Lens, however, looks bleak with the French club looking to offload the Ghanaian to free-up space on their financial books.
