Ghanaian midfielder Salis Abdul Samed, has been nominated for the 2023 Marc Vivien Foé award for his impressive performance with RC Lens in the French Ligue 1 this season.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been a key player for Lens, who are currently sitting in second place on the league table.
Samed has played in 29 matches this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
The Marc Vivien Foé award is presented annually to the best African player in Ligue 1.
He is among ten other players competing for the award, including Yunis Abdelhamid, Mama Balde, Mohammed Camara, Habib Diallo, Seko Fofana, Achraf Hakimi, Chancel Mbemba, Terem Moffi, Marshall Munetsi, and Hamari Traoré.
The last Ghanaian to win the award was Andre Ayew in 2015.
