Real Oviedo midfielder Kwasi Sibo says he has turned down an approach from the Rwanda Football Association, insisting he still dreams of playing for the Black Stars.
The 27-year-old was one of the standout ghanaian players abroad this past season, making 42 appearances and helping Oviedo secure promotion to La Liga for the first time in 24 years.
“Rwanda FA has contacted me to switch allegiance to play for them. They engaged me in the course of the season, but I did not make a firm decision because I wanted to end the season,” Sibo told Asempa FM.
Despite being overlooked by Ghana, Sibo says he has no hard feelings toward the national team setup and remains hopeful of a future call-up.
The defensive midfielder joined Oviedo in July 2024 on a two-year deal and is expected to play a key role in their La Liga campaign next season.
