RTU’s Baba Kushibo praises ‘marvelous’ team performance in win at Accra Lions

Real Tamale United midfielder Baba Kushibo has praised his team’s performance following their 3-1 win over Accra Lions in the betPawa Premier League at the Accra Sports stadium on Friday.

Kushibo who was named Man of the Match, enthusiastically characterized his team’s performance as nothing short of marvelous.

He noted that compared to other venues, Accra seemed like a better location, motivating them to aim for all three points.

“It was a marvelous performance, especially considering the fact that we were playing away from home. Comparatively, Accra appears to be a favorable venue, and we were confident that a strong showing would earn us all three points, and that’s precisely what we accomplished,”

Baba Kushibo scored the opening goal in the 5th minute before Mohammed Mankuyeli added the second goal 9 minutes later.

The Tamale lads went into the break with a two goal cushioning but Abdul Rahman Ali reduced the deficit inside 56 minutes to give Accra Lions a glimmer of hope.

Real Tamale United put the game beyond the hosts in the 67th minute through Abdul Aziz.

The win give gives Real Tamale United their first three points on the road in the ongoing season as Accra Lions drop to the bottom half of the table.
