Real Tamale United have deepened the woes of Accra Lions with an emphatic 3-1 victory in the Betpawa Premier league.
The Lions were hoping to end their losing streak having succumbed to defeats against Asante Kotoko and Great Olympics.
But RTU were unfazed and scores the opener inside five minutes through Baba Kushibo before Mohammed Mankuyeli doubled the advantage in the 14th minute.
Abdul Rahman beat goalkeeper Nana Yaw Afriyie to give the Lions hope of a comeback in the 56th minute of action but Abdul Aziz netted the third for RTU and ultimately secure the victory.
It is now three successive losses for Ibrahim Tanko’s side which sees them drop to the 13th position while RTU temporarily go top of the table with 10 points.
