Roma step up interest in Real Madrid forward Endrick as Jose Mourinho assesses striker’s future

Roma have stepped up their interest in Real Madrid forward Endrick, with the Italian club exploring a potential loan move that could include an option to buy during the current summer transfer window.

According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are looking to strengthen their attack and have identified the Brazil international as a leading target. The club’s preferred proposal would involve taking Endrick on loan, while retaining the possibility of making the move permanent at a later stage.

Roma officials have travelled to Madrid to discuss whether a deal can be reached during the current transfer market. Their visit underlines the club’s determination to establish Real Madrid’s position and discover whether the Spanish side would be willing to consider a temporary departure for the forward.

However, reports suggest Real Madrid are not currently open to negotiations. That stance comes despite Endrick not occupying a central place in Jose Mourinho’s plans at present, leaving uncertainty over the striker’s position as the club considers its options.

Mourinho is expected to assess Endrick’s future in the coming days. The forward scored in Real Madrid’s friendly against Fiorentina on Saturday, but that effort alone is not considered sufficient to settle the question of whether he will remain with the club.

Should Real Madrid decide that Endrick can leave, Roma are expected to be among the clubs most eager to complete an agreement. The Italian side’s interest is focused on a loan arrangement with a purchase option, rather than an immediate permanent transfer.

For now, the outcome depends largely on Mourinho’s evaluation and Real Madrid’s willingness to enter discussions. Roma have made their interest clear by sending officials to Madrid, but the club must wait for the Spanish side to determine whether Endrick forms part of its plans for the season ahead.

The Brazilian forward’s goal against Fiorentina has given Mourinho further material to consider, although it has not changed the current uncertainty surrounding his role. Roma will continue to monitor the situation closely and would be prepared to push for the deal if Real Madrid signal that they are ready to let Endrick move on.
