Considered one of the great promises of La Masia, Riqui Puig never really knew how to impose himself in Catalonia, even seeing other talents emerge before his eyes like Pedri or Gavi. If his future was not taking shape in Barcelona, he still surprised many by exporting to the United States last summer to join the Los Angeles Galaxy. And according to the Catalan media, the Spanish midfielder would not be in a state of comfort on the other side of the Atlantic.
If his performances speak for him on the pitch, the former Barça player would be bored and would have great difficulty adapting to the North American city and its culture, according to Catalonia Radio. Very attached to his roots, Riqui Puig had taken advantage of the offseason – MLS resuming in January – to return to Barcelona, in particular to attend the new Kings League project of his friend Gerard Pique.
