Asante Kotoko SC have axed Abdul-Ganiyu and named Richard Boadu as new captain of the club ahead of the new football camapaign.
Boadu will be the main skipper, supported by centre-back Yussif Mubarik, goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim, right-back Christopher Nettey and goalkeeper Pouaty Denduom respectively.
Abdul-Ganiyu was reportedly replaced on the back of his proposal to terminate his contract and the demand of Ghc 10,000 per month salary.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently in Sudan on pre-season against Al Hilal twice and Simba of Tanzania.
