Ghana forward Jordan Ayew forciblt played on with five stitches in his head after a sickening clash with Leeds man Robin Koch during Crystal Palace game on Saturday.
The duo smacked heads when they both jumped for the same ball at a corner just before the first half but it was Ayew who suffered the most.
The 31-year-old was sent to the floor by the impact, and lay flat out on the ground in worrying scenes.
The Crystal Palace medical staff quickly ran on to tend to him and Koch himself also needing treatment from the Leeds medics.
Ayew suffered a nasty gash above his eyebrow, with the Sky Sports coverage claiming he needed five stitches to the cut.
After a lengthy stoppage, both Ayew and Koch were deemed fit enough to be able to continue playing but Ayew felt the impact again and was replaced in 65th minute.
Leeds United took the lead through Pascal Struijk but Odsonne Edouard equalised soon after against the run of play before Eze drilled a finish past Illan Meslier in the 76th minute to seal all three points.
