Results oriented CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah ready to push Kotoko players to their best all the time

Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah has stated that he is a results oriented person and his management will push the players to do their best all the time.

The Porcupine Warriors won the just ended 2021/22 Ghana Premier League after eight years without win the prestigious domestic trophy in Ghana.

Cameroonian duo Mbella and Mfege powered the Kumasi-based club to the ultimate. Mbella ended the season with 21 goals, he was heavily chased by eventual winner Yaw Annor throughout the season.

Speaking to the Fire for Fire sports team on Friday afternoon Nana Amponsah said he doesn’t hate any individual he fires.

“I’m a results oriented person and sacking him does not mean I have a problem with him. He was part of people pushing me to be named Asante Kotoko CEO. He performed well but at a point, we felt we have to let him go. I don’t hate him. He is good person but I’m result oriented,”

He added that his management will be happy to see Kotoko players get invited to play for the senior national team but if they miss out the players will be pushed to continue performing at a higher level.

“We expected some of our players to be named in Black Stars squad but the technical handlers felt they have what they need but we will keep pushing them to do their best all the time,”

Nana Amponsah and his management are currently visiting their sponsors with the Ghana Premier League trophy.
